The first sound a baby makes is usually "ma" or "mama..."
Perhaps to the baby it's merely an onomatopoeic sound or a funny exercise for the mouth. Nonetheless, it's fascinating that this sound becomes the name children call their mothers, and in Sanskrit happens to be the sound of the Divine Feminine. Hence the name of this journal, First Word is Ma.
